Universal Image Inc. v. Yahoo, Inc., et al.
In a January 18, 2000 amended complaint, Universal Image, d/b/a Chalkboardtalk.com, accused Yahoo of violating Texas' anti-stalking law by allegedly using "surveillance" cookies to trace computer users' every movement without their consent. Universal Image is seeking damages for as much as $4 billion.
