Junk E-mail Decisions and Litigation

AOL v. Squeaky Clean Marketing

In December 1997, AOL filed a complaint in Fairfax County, Virginia Circuit Court against Squeaky Clean Marketing, et al. AOL charged that the defendants have ignored AOL's repeated request to stop sending junk e-mail to its members thus flooding the AOL computer system. Squeaky Clean Marketing has since agreed to cease sending any e-mail to AOL, and to the payment of damages.
