AOL v. National Health Care Discount (NHCD)

On August 21, 2001, the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Iowa ruled in AOL v. National Health Care Discount that NHCD was liable to AOL for the over 100 million unsolicited bulk e-mail messages sent to AOL members by bulk e-mailers that NHCD had retained to transmit such e-mail advertisements.  The Court awarded AOL actual and punitive damages.
