Intellectual Reserve, Inc. v. Utah Lighthouse Ministry, Inc.

On October 13, 1999, the Intellectual Reserve, Inc. ("IRI"), the publishing company owning the copyrights and other intellectual property assets used by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, filed suit against the Utah Lighthouse Ministry, Inc. ("ULM"), accusing the ULM of copyright law  violations by posting information from an internal church handbook on the Internet.
